How to install:

1- If it is first Reborn CFW install, format E (internal storage) and remove your memory card

2- Download latest Reborn CFW from top of this page and unzip it on your Windows PC Desktop

3- Download and install; BEST and Nokia Suite

4- Restart PC and exit Nokia Suite

5- Select Desktop folder from BEST app, not Desktop/RM-596 or Desktop/RM-626 folder and Restart BEST app

6- Separate procedures exist for N8 and E7:

For N8; from drop-down menu select the appropriate firmware according to language group:

- English, Turkish, German, French, Italian, Dutch: "0599762 euro2_dg_germany ver 111.040.1511"

- Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Kazakh, Romanian: "0599767 russian_dg_ukraine ver 111.040.1511"

- Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Basque, Brazilian Portuguese: "059G170 hispania_pink ver 111.040.1511"

For E7; there are separate UI languages and physical keyboard layouts. So you should download suitable ROFS2 package from Language Packs and copy it to RM-626 folder

7- To preserve your data and update only the CFW, uncheck the UDA (CNT1) option. Perform first installation as clean installation!

8- Select "Set Normal" and press "Flash" button

Note 2: Please don't ask to developer how to use other flashing apps which are not tested by developer

Note 3: Please try to perform a clean installation whenever possible

Note 5: You can submit your requests for UI languages and physical keyboards for the E7 via our Telegram group

Reborn Store and Reborn Updater notes:

- If you have uninstalled Reborn Store and Reborn Updater apps, you can reinstall them via Settings > Installations > Install add-on option.

- If you can't see these during the first installation, it means you performed the installation without formatting the E drive (internal storage). In this case, you need to format the E drive before installing them. If you install them directly without formatting E, you may encounter some problems.

- If you changed your device language, you need to reinstall Reborn Store and Reborn Updater apps by going to Settings > Installations > Install add-on to correct their names.

Wi-Fi settings notes:

1- Open Settings > Connectivity > Settings > Network destinations

2- Add your Wi-Fi connection to the Internet category

3- Give it proper priority from options

Nokia Mail notes:

- If you want to use Gmail, you should create an application password for Gmail from your Google account settings.

- Settings should be: Server type: IMAP - Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com - Incoming port: 993 - Entry security: SSL - Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com - Outgoing port: 465 - Exit security: SSL - Requires login: yes

Nokia Maps notes:

- You must install Reborn-specific Nokia Maps from Store in order to use.

- If you want to activate Voice Guidance for your language in Nokia Maps, download audio files from there and follow instructions: Maps Audio Files

- Please use only E drive (not F) for Maps and Voice Guidance files.

- If you experience problems with Nokia Maps, uninstall and reinstall it.

- When you want to uninstall Nokia Maps app, be sure to restart device both before and after.

Notes on GPS problems in the Russian region:

Although Russian users have reported that the GPS is not receiving a signal, tests in other regions have shown that the GPS works without problems.

Since the Nokia N8 and E7 do not support systems such as GLONASS, in addition to GPS and A-GPS, there is nothing we can do for the Russian region at the moment.

Troubleshooting:

- If Web app doesn't open, create a folder named "fix_net" in E drive via File Manager and restart device.

- If menu icons missed, create a folder named "fix_menu" in E drive via File Manager and restart device.
